Tip
With over 23 years producing shows... here are
the top 7 tips from the PROS!
#1 –
This is not the place to break in your 4-inch heels
You’ll be covering a lot of territory if you want to meet every
vendor at the show. It only makes
sense that you wear comfortable shoes to avoid aches and pains.
Imagine the disappointment
of leaving an expo filled with unlimited possibilities because your
“dogs were barkin’.”
Tip #2 –
Stick to the point
Many vendors have contests, special offers or want to add you to
their mailing list. Save yourself
time (not to mention writer’s cramp) by being armed with
self-adhesive address labels. Make sure
to include: bride and groom’s name, address, telephone number,
e-mail addresses and your
wedding date.
Tip #3 –
If they have a say, bring ‘em that day
If your fiancé, parents or bridal party are the decision-makers with
any part of the wedding, bring
them to the show. Many vendors have “show-only-promotions” which
are exclusive to the event.
By having all decision makers in attendance, you’ll be able to take
advantage of these special offers.
Grooms – Don’t miss The Groom’s Lounge, where you will
receive a special gift and planning
tips, while enjoying football on the enormous TV, play blackjack or
roulette for prizes and locate
all of the services you’ll need to be a hands-on assistant in the
big day including formalwear,
limousines and more!
Tip #4 – Life in the fast lane
Whether it is Walt Disney World or a wedding showcase, most people
will automatically go to the
left when meandering down an aisle. Beat the crowd and walk to the
right when you enter
the show. Another trick is to start in the back of the room and
work your way forward.
Tip #5 –
You’re in the Hot Seat now
If at all possible, reserve seats for the fashion show. The closer
you are, the better the view.
Designate one person to reserve chairs while others shop. Never
leave your valuables
unattended. The bridal show is not responsible for lost or stolen
items.
Tip #6 –
Don’t leave home without it
Make sure you arrive at the show with checkbook and credit cards in
hand. Deposits are required
to reserve most services. Vendors will offer special promotions and
items onsite, including an
onsite Trunk Show Sample Sale by The Bridal Suite, where brides can
purchase wedding gowns for
as little as $99. Reputable vendors often accept personal checks,
Master Card and Visa. As a
general rule, it’s best to keep cash at home.
Tip #7 –
Make a Day of it
Celebrations offers an exquisite brunch to boost your energy. For
only $9.95, the menu includes
not-to-miss cuisine! As well, participating vendors will provide
samples of catering, cakes,
chocolate fountains and more.
Workshops held throughout the day offer planning guidance such as
writing your own
wedding vows, decorating tips for the wedding of your dreams,
picture perfect beauty tips and more.
