A Mori Lee prom dress by designer Madeline Gardner has been a firm favorite for over 3 generations. There are currently three collections, each offering something different, so before you decide if a Mori Lee gown is right for you, let's take a look at what each collection offers in terms of dress styles.
A Madeline Gardner prom gown is always fun, sexy but above all glamorous. Her gowns have been designed to make every girl feel like she's the belle of the ball. You won't find any unusual or extremely contemporary designs, there aren't any short skirts, exposed midriffs, plunging back-lines or richly patterned printed fabrics. If this is something you want, then you'll have to look at a designer prom dress from another fashion house; like a Jovani or Flirt prom dress.
But, if you want glamour that is very feminine, sophisticated and timeless, then a Mori Lee prom dress could be what you're looking for.
At present, there are three collections: Prom, Paparazzi and Hush (the newest collection). Each offers something a little different whilst being unmistakably a Madeline Gardner creation.
The Prom collection, as you might expect, is very traditional in design and is the signature gown of the company. The gowns are beautifully detailed with intricate bead work and come in vibrant colors and fabrics that are fun. The dresses come with strapless, halter neck or spaghetti straps with natural waistlines with multi-layered tulle skirts. There's also beautifully crafted pick up skirts and figure hugging mermaid and fish tail skirts. This collection is definitely for those who want a traditional, feminine and classic dress for Prom.
The Paparazzi collection is more sexy and slinky in its styling. The dresses are still full length but they are slim, shimmering and sexy; their figure hugging design is meant to show off every curve of a girl's figure with each skirt having a high side front slit. Designs also include open front chiffon corseted bodices and open sides. These gowns definitely owe much to Hollywood celebrity glamour and are perfect for the girl who wants something feminine and timeless but doesn't want to wear a ball gown.
The Hush collection uses the styles found in the Paparazzi collection but each dress is made of silk charmeuse that feels like a second skin. The colors are very vibrant and each gown is intricately beaded, and with their figure hugging designs, they give a girl a very sleek and sexy look. There's no demure sentiment here; these gowns have a forthright look and feel that exudes sex appeal.
Despite being a designer prom dress, Mori Lee prom dresses aren't as expensive as you might think; you can pay as much as $400 for a gown but prices start as low as $160. They are easily bought online from authorized retailers; just about every site has a measurement guide to help you select the correct size.
A Mori Lee prom dress is for a girl who wants a gown that is uncompromisingly feminine, whether it is a traditional prom or more modern formal gown. But, whichever style you choose, you will be wearing something that is fun, elegant and gorgeous to your Prom.
