Is popular music swirling the drain - 10 points if your answer wins?
I can't even listen to terrestrial radio anymore. I do believe we've hit a new 'bad music' record, even rivaling the one set in the seventies. (Keep in mind that this was a time that Donny and Marie and The Partridge family were popular). Anyhow, my request is a simple one: please tell me what is, in your opinion, the worst song on the radio, and why. Chances of winning are higher if you include samples of horrible lyrics.
I agree, new music is crap. Even new REM, a band who I have loved and listened to my whole life is crap to me now. (synthesized drums???wtf?)
The new Tool album will probably grow on me, but I have only listened to it a couple of times. When Lateralus came out, I listened to it non stop. In fact Tool, APC, and The Cure are the only bands who have new relaeses that I have bought.
Not including my secret love of rap music, but no one I know who 'listens to rap' has heard of the rap I'm listening to: Company Flow, Jedi Mind Tricks, Binary Star... stuff like that.
If I har that Cold Hard Bi4ch song one more time, I am going to 'Puke Blood'
And this whole R&B thing has to stop. Missy Elliot has got to stop. American Idol has got to stop. Pu55y Cat Dolls have got to stop. (if you cant even post the name of a group on an internet sight without it being censored, that should be your first clue) Send these husseys back to vegas with the rest of the strippers. Its not sexy anymore. Its not much wonder all these young girls are so anorexic.
I think that female artists are worse than men, because they dont need talent, they just need to be cookie cutter harlots.
I have to stop, before I go into a rant. Let Bill Hicks do the ranting, since he did it so well.
